Snowsport England Inter-Regional Competition 2010

The Snowsport England Inter-Regional Competition 2010 took place on 27th June 2010 at Gloucester Ski & Snowboard Centre

This was the first outing for the newly formed region and what a fantastic set of results for the new squad representing the new region. It was a great days racing bringing together all the best racers from around the country representing their own region racing head to head in a dual slalom format with each team having seven members of mixed SSE Race classification.

We entered three teams and all got through the group stages - the only region to accomplish this. These teams progressed through the knockout stages so that we had two teams left in the semi finals, arguably the best two teams on the day. However with the high octane tempo of the race a few small errors crept in that resulted in the CESA 'A' team coming second and the CESA 'B' Team coming fourth. However a great result and showing that region is a growing force to be reckoned with. Thanks for representing the region and welldone to all the racers.

West Midlands Ski Association Schools Race 2010

This year's schools race was held on the evening of Friday 25th of June 2010 at Telford Ski Centre, 5:30pm to 9:30pm.

Approximately 150 racers attended, the race was held for the first time on a Friday evening. The organisers were very pleased with the turnout and thanked all the schools and racers for making the event such a success.
